Hire Me For Research Help

Read all the how to's but still need research help?

I offer research services for $15 an hour at a minimum of two hours. This service is useful for people who have begun their research on an ancestor already but may not have the time to continue researching despite a desire to know more. Someone short on patience or lacking the good eyesight necessary to scan through page after page of un-indexed and difficult to read documents looking for great great grandma would also find it useful. I'm not a professional genealogist and for now this service is limited to online census, county, state, and other miscellaneous records available through FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com but may be expanded in the future.

Research within colonial Spanish language baptism, marriage, and death records is also available and costs a flat rate of $40 per search. An additional $5 an hour may also apply if the birth, marriage, or death dates are unknown. I strongly suggest you already have evidence that an ancestor was living in Spanish Florida (or another Spanish colony) in the 1780s through the 1850s. (Earlier documents exist but are damaged and partial.) Research within Brazilian, Cuban, and Colombian Spanish documents is available on a case by case basis simply because I am less familiar with those document collections.

An initial consultation to understand your research goals and determine what services are best for you is free but payment is due up front for research to begin. I cannot guarantee any records will be found.
